Failing to install webaccess - 404 error on login

Novell GroupWise 2014

Situation

After running the WebAccess install executable, receiving 404 - Not Found

Tomcat6 is running and IIS is configured with the proper ISAPI Extensions and Filters

Resolution

Login to the server as the administrator account

Uninstall GroupWise WebAccess:
  1. Open the command prompt (cmd)
  2. Change directories to the C:\novell\tomcat6\bin
  3. Run command: tomcat6 //DS//tomcat6

Uninstall IIS with Server Manager

Rerun the GroupWise WebAccess install executable

Cause

The install was not granted administrator rights even though user is logged in as administrator or equivalent rights user.
