Novell ZENworks Configuration Management Imaging
Microsoft Windows Surface Pro Tablet

Situation

  • Keyboard or Ethernet adapter may not work properly
  • There may be problems booting to PXE

Resolution

  1. It is required to use the Microsoft branded USB Ethernet adapter
  2. USB keyboard and Ethernet adapter must be plugged into a powered USB hub

Cause

The Windows Surface Pro doesn't supply enough power for more than one device to be plugged into the USB port.
