Situation

LDAP Authentication fails when authenticating to the Policy Editor

Some user accounts will not authenticate using LDAP.

User Accounts with a "." in the name will not successfully authenticate using LDAP.

Resolution

This is an issue within the Change Guardian 4.1 product and can be resolved by upgrading to Change Guardian 4.1.1. This version can be downloaded from this URL.

Cause

The "." within the user account causes the LDAP authentication to parse the User Name incorrectly when it is passed for authentication.
