Situation
ipsmd takes 100% of the CPU's utilization after apply the 2014 May or Sept novell-iprint-server RPM. This problem also exists in the iPrint Appliance version 1.x.
Resolution
OES11 SP1:
Install the novell-iprint-server RPM available from this page.
OES11 SP2:
Install the novell-iprint-server RPM available from this page.
iPrint Appliance:
Install the iPrint Appliance 1.1 Patch 1 update from this page.
Workaround:
Delete the auser.dat in the /var/opt/novell/iprint/<print manager and context>.psm/audit directory and restart the print manager (rcnovell-ipsmd restart). The problem will not return until a job is submitted to a printer agent enabled for audit by a user with a non-English character in the job name. When the problem returns, again delete the auser.dat file.

Additional Information
To determine if the iPrint server has received the novell-iprint-server RPM version which has the problem, execute the following command at a terminal:
rpm -qa novell-iprint-server
Use the top command to determine the amount of utilization ipsmd is consuming.If novell-iprint-server-6.7.0.20140516-0.5.1 or novell-iprint-server-6.7.20140908-3.1 is returned, then the server is running the code which has this problem.
