APC_INDEX_MISMATCH blue screen could occur in NCFSD.SYS during file system access

Environment

Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows (IR1a)

Situation

1. While copying files from a mapped drive to a local drive, if the connection is broken by detaching from tree, such as in the Novell Connections window, the workstation may crash with a BSOD.

2. Citrix Xenapp 6.5 HFR03 server can crash or lock up intermittently.

Resolution

Fixed in Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows (IR8)

Cause

An APC_INDEX_MISMATCH issue was identified as related to the FILE_LOCK structure of an FCB managed by NCFSD. In addition, specific file rename cases could cause the UNICODE_PREFIX_TABLE being managed by NCFSD to become corrupt, resulting in a system crash.
