How to install GroupWise WebAccess on Windows Server
Resolution
- (conditional) Install the Microsoft Web Server role from Server Manager:
- To install the Web Server (IIS) role, in the list of tasks, click Add roles and then click Web Server (IIS).
For more information about installing IIS, see Installation. - Add the ISAPI Extensions and ISAPI Filters
Note: This is necessary to support the redirection from Apache to Tomcat. - Verify the IIS Web Server Role was installed and is working correctly:
- Open Services to verify there is a WorldWideWeb Publishing Service that is Started and set to Automatic.
- From a browser, visit http://127.0.0.1 and verify the IIS Welcome Page is displayed.
- Stop the WorldWideWeb Publishing Service during the GroupWise WebAccess install.
- Verify the Post Office Agents have SOAP enabled and the port is open or available from the WebAccess server to the POA(s).
- GW2014: Supporting SOAP Clients.
- GW2012: Supporting SOAP Clients.
- Install GroupWise WebAccess:
- GW2012: Windows: Setting Up GroupWise WebAccess.
- GW2014: Installing the GroupWise 2014 WebAccess Application.
Note: Tomcat 6 should be Started in Services. Also, the following directories are created by the installer:
C:\Novell\tomcat6, C:\Novell\tomcat6\java and C:\Novell\tomcat6\connectors. - Verify the Install worked by visiting http://127.0.0.1/gw/webacc from a browser on the server itself.
