Various ways the iDoc's can be made available to the SAP HR driver in IDM

a) HR host --> local file repository --> RL on HR host

b) HR host --> local file repository --> mounted via CIFS, NFS, SMB on RL host --> RL

c) HR host --> remote central file repository --> mounted via CIFS, NFS, SMB on RL host --> RL

d) HR host --> remote central file repository --> RL

e) HR host --> SAP PI --> remote central file repository --> mounted via CIFS, NFS, SMB on RL host --> RL

f) HR host --> local file repository --> FTP file transfer --> local file repository on RL host --> RL

d) and e) are the most common one.

f) If using method (f), make sure that there is no compression of the IDocs that remove trailing whitespace on each line of data. Removal of whitespace invalidates the IDocs.
