Situation

Error "Exchange 2010 Exception. code:0x00000140" when trying to create a mailbox. This error shows in trace when using the IDM Active Directory Driver.

Resolution

This error is caused by problems with DNS. Either incorrect DNS values have been used in the driver configuration or there are DNS problems in the environment.
