Contacts won't synchronize

Novell GroupWise Mobility Service 2.0

Situation

Contacts will not sync
No synchronization of contacts
No contacts will sync
Address books fail to sync
 

Resolution

Within the GroupWise Client, expand the Contacts folder in the Folder List on the left (along with Mailbox, Sent Items) and if the listed Address Book folders below are not in the correct format (they are of the type folders and not Address Book) do the following 

  1. Open the full size Address Book by clicking on the Address Book icon in the top left of the GroupWise Client.
  2. Click File -  New Book to create a new Test Address Book.
  3. Name the New Address Book Test in the dialogue box that appears.
  4. When this Test Address Book is created,  folders of the problem Address Books are now changing to the correct format.
  5. Exit the Address Book dialogue box.
  6. Remove any left over Address Book folders that are still in the general - yellow folder form.
  7. Re-initialize user and Contacts will begin Synchronizing.
