Situation
How to configure a user's GroupWise settings for selective sync (i.e. syncing only appointments)
Resolution
To configure a user's GroupWise Settings for selective sync (syncing only appointments for example), a user would need to do the following:
1. Add the new user to Mobility.
2. Configure the User's GroupWise settings (unchecking everything except appointments, for example).
3. Wait for the user to finish initializing (syncs everything).
4. Then select reinitialize.
Note: Now it will only sync the selected items to Mobility from GroupWise.
At the time of writing this TID, the reinitialize may take quite a long time in the Sync-Validate state:
TID 7015103 - Sync-Validate takes a long time when selecting only certain items to be synced from GroupWise
Note: The device will not be allowed to connect until the user shows a status of Synced. Thus, the device will not show accurate information until after it has been allowed to connect to the Mobility server.
