ZENworks 11.3 Virtual Appliance Migration Hangs for Hours

Migrating a ZENworks 11.2 appliance to a ZENworks 11.3 appliance
Added disk space to the 11.3 appliance for the content repository (content-repo)
Migration hangs for hours and never completes
Hangs at around 42% while upgrading the original appliance

Error messages similar to those in TID 7014780 are seen in the system-update.log

1. Cancel or kill the migration process
2. Revert to the snapshot of the original server taken before the migration
3. Re-deploy the 11.3 appliance making sure to partition and mount the additional disk space as described in Virtual Appliance Post-Deployment Tasks
4. Re-run the migration as described in Step 14 of Adding Required Disk Space for ZENworks Virtual Appliance Migration

In some cases, two instances of the update process could be running on the original appliance.
