Situation
After the end of Microsoft support for Windows XP, what will ZPM deliver?
Resolution
Existing Windows XP patches will remain in the Lumension Patch feed for at least 12 months.
Any new Windows XP patches that are distributed by Microsoft to customers that have paid for Windows XP Extended Support are not generally available. Therefore any Windows XP Extended Support patches will not be available via the Lumension patch feed. Should Microsoft choose to produce any publicly accessible patches after April 8, 2014, Lumension will include these in in the feed.
ZPM has the feature of configuring a software bundle to become a patch bundle. Should a ZPM customer that has paid Microsoft for Windows XP Extended Support receive an XP patch from Microsoft, Administrators will be able to use this feature to include that XP patch in their normal ZPM processes.
