Situation
After update from OSX 10.8 to OSX 10.9 (Mavericks), new installed printer that have a space in their name are not printing. Printers with spaces in the name work fine with OSX 10.8
Resolution
Install the iPrint Client for Mac version 5.76 or later.
Workaround:
Do not use space on the printer name. An underscore can be used in place of a space.
Workaround:
Do not use space on the printer name. An underscore can be used in place of a space.
Cause
There is a bug in the iPrint Client for Mac versions 5.74 and earlier that causes printers with a space in the names to be installed as a local printer instead of a network printer.
Additional Information
With the iPrint Client for Mac version 5.74 and earlier, accessing the CUPS interface on the Mac will show that the connection field is pointing to File:///dev/null, instead of ipp://iprintmanager/
