Situation

Trying to apply Full Disk Encryption (FDE) Policy to a Windows 8 Surface Pro

Resolution

FDE will not apply to a Windows 8 Surface Pro tablet, as the Surface Pro tablet use UEFI. 
For Full Disk Encryption BIOS firmware is required. UEFI is not supported
