Shared addressbook does not show in list of addressbooks

Environment

Novell GroupWise 2012

Situation

A user receives a shared addressbook, and when opening addressbook in the GroupWise client, does not see the shared addressbook in the list.  The user can see it in Frequent Contacts, and also in the Folder List Panel of the GroupWise client window.

Resolution

To fix the problem, remove the registry key for the shared addressbook.  This is done on the pc/laptops of the person who shared the addressbook, and the user with whom it was shared.

Before making any changes to the registry, make sure to back up the registry first.

Delete the "AB.<numbers and letters >.Shared address book name" key

On Windows 7 64bit, it can be found under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Novell\Groupwise\Address Book - User Interface

On  Windows 8, it can be found under:

HKEY_USERS\<logged in user SID>\Software\Novell\GroupWise\Address Book

After removing the registry key's, reshare the addressbook.
