Situation
The java applets which facilitate the use of the 'drag-and-drop file upload' and 'edit-in-place' features in Novell Filr are blocked by default security settings in the latest Java 1.7.0 releases (such as 1.7.0_51).
End users may experience one of the following issues after updating to the latest Java version on their desktop:
a. Unable to add files via the drag-and-drop file upload (for browsers such as IE that do not support HTML5 file uploads)
b. Unable to edit files via the Edit this file

Resolution
The applets have been updated to meet the new security requirements enforced in latest releases of Java. The updated applets are available on the Novell Patch Finder page under product "Filr". The download will include updated applets along with instructions to apply the applets.
