Error c000003a when mapping drive in login script

Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows
OES 11

Situation

With a drive mapping such as:

map root t:=\\server\data:users

an error will appear, such as:

LOGIN-LGNWNT32-430: The following drive mapping operation could not be completed.

    [ROOT T:=\\SERVER/DATA:USERS]
The error code was c000003a.

The drive mapping fails and the user is unable to access that location.

The problem occurs for only some users, and only on certain folders / subdirectories.

Resolution

Grant the user a specific trustee assignment in the folder. If that resolves the problem, then the trustee rights for that folder are corrupt. Create a new folder and copy the contents into the new folder.
