iPrint printer policy fails to set default printer

Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.x
Novell iPrint

Situation

Every iPrint Policy distributed through ZENworks has reported failure to enforce. 
An iPrint Policy is assigned to a device
The printer will deploy
The policy will not set the iPrint printer to the default printer 
The policy returns failure to enforce.

From the zmd-messages.log:

[ERROR] [1/01/2014 1:11:40.429] [1712] [ZenworksWindowsService] [39] [zeninstaller] [printer policy] [POLICYHANDLERS.PrinterPolicy.SetDefaultSettingsFailiure] [Failed to set preferences for printer  Details are Printer  does not exist.] [Printer  does not exist] [null] 


The null was shown in the log with: 


[Install printer call ends for ipp://iprint5.novell.org/ipp/iprint12] [] [] 
[printers are ipp://10.0.0.44/ipp/iprint12; Send To OneNote 2013;Microsoft XPS Document Writer;] [] [] 
[Failed to set preferences for printer  Details are Printer  does not exist.] [Printer  does not exist] [null] 


The failure is due to the mismatch of the printer call:  ipp://iprint5.novell.org/ipp/iprint12

And the printers being returned from the iprint server:  ipp://10.0.0.44/ipp/iprint12


Resolution

Follow the resolution in TID 7002644 to confirm the DNS for iPrint
