Situation

Unable to sync mails after an update
Unable to receive emails on device after an update
No users can sync post upgrade
No users can sync post update

Resolution

Make sure that after upgrading the RPMs using patch CD update to run update.sh by typing /opt/novell/datasync/update.sh to update the database
