Environment

Novell GroupWise 2012 Support Pack 2
Windows 2008 Server R2

Situation

When on a Windows 2008 R2 server when you install GW2012 SP2 on this server,
which includes Webaccess. At this point there is no problem logging into GW
with the Webaccess client. However when you then install and configure the
Calendar Publishing Host on this same server, you not longer can log into
GroupWise with your Webaccess client. You get a browser error of :

Error: "404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for
might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

Resolution

In the "uriworkermap.properties" file on the Windows 2008 server, in the
c:\Novell\connector\conf\ directory

make sure that this file has the below content, if this is not present then ADD it and restart the Windows IIS web server, "World Wide Web Publishing" in the list of Windows services (services.msc)

/gw/*=ajp13w
/gw=ajp13w

Cause

It was discovered that the "uriworkermap.properties" file in the
c:\Novell\connector\conf\ directory gets overwritten, rather than appended to.

The main content of the file when you have installed Webaccess and Calendar
Publishing Host should be :

/gwcal/*=ajp13w
/gwcal=ajp13w
/gw/*=ajp13w
/gw=ajp13w

But what happens is that after the Calendar Publishing Host install and
configuration this file only contains :

/gwcal/*=ajp13w
/gwcal=ajp13w

Hence the 404 error. Because of this, IIS does not know to re-route http
requests with "gw" in the url to tomcat.
