Situation

Slow outbound emails
Internet emails go out after a long time
domain\wpgate\gwia\send directory filled with a lot of messages
domain\wpgate\gwia\3rd\send directory filled with a lot of files

Resolution

  1. Browse to domain\wpgate\gwia\send or domain\wpgate\gwia\3rd\send as the case may be
  2. Open few files and check for who is the recipient. On Linux, type this command
    grep -i "rcpt to" * and press Enter
  3. Check if one email address is repeated over and over. If yes, either a rule is causing mails to send to this email address multiple times or an application is sending to this address over and over. Open the file and check the From field and try to stop it at the source.
