Situation

Unable to download messages on Android 4.4
Unable to download mails on Nexus 5

Resolution

  1. Make sure that Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack 1.2.5.299 is installed. Type "cat /opt/novell/datasync/version" to confirm. If not, download Mobility Pack 1.2.5.299 from https://download.novell.com/patch/finder
  2. Download and extract sync.pyc from
    ftp://ftp.novell.com/outgoing/849307.zip
  3. Type rcdatasync stop to stop DataSync
  4. Browse to /opt/novell/datasync/syncengine/connectors/mobility/lib/device and rename sync.pyc to sync.orig
  5. Copy the extracted sync.pyc to /opt/novell/datasync/syncengine/connectors/mobility/lib/device
  6. Restart DataSync by typing rcdatasync start and press Enter
  7. Delete and add the account on the device
