Situation
3rd party application Quest's frequent modifications cause increased GW performance struggles.
Since creating and sharing Quest Personal Address Book (PAB) with GroupWise, the Post Offices (PO) that house the user account that contains the address book from Exchange become unusable due to a build-up of hundreds of gwcheck messages in the <PO-directory>/wpcsout/chk/2 directory.
POA WebConsole (HTTP) shows threads: Personal address book replication request.

Resolution
Increase the time between sync attempts from Quest's application. Configure Quest to sync less often.
Note: In the case above, the update was hourly and was switched to daily.

Cause
The frequency of sync from Quest causes this issue.
