Volume serial number is returned as "0" (zero)

Situation

The Novell Client incorrectly returns a "0" (zero) value for the volume serial number, instead of the fabricated serial number based on the volume name. (See TID 7000791.)

Resolution

Fixed in Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows (IR5).

Cause

This problem was inadvertently introduced by the fix for another bug in the (IR1a) release.
