Situation
eDir password is not changed when the Windows password is changed
Domain password is not changed when eDirectory password is changed
Ctrl-Alt-Del Change password does not change both eDir and Windows passwords
$Syspassword shows old value after password change
Problem only occurs with SecureLogin installed in LDAP mode
Resolution
Apply NSL7.0.3 HF6 or newer, and add the following registry setting:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Novell\Login\LDAP
SyncLDAPPassword - Dword (0 or 1 )
0 - no sync is performed
1 - synchronize the login password with ldap server.
Note: It might also be necessary to add the value "SyncDelay" in the same registry location, a REG_DWORD set to any non-zero number as described in TID 7013468.
