Filr 1.0.1 appliance hangs at initial startup when updating from Filr 1.0.0

When updating from Filr 1.0.0 to Filr 1.0.1, the Filr appliance may appear stuck/hung during the first start-up of the Filr 1.0.1 appliance.

The last message written to the console would be: Starting novell-gmond ............ done

It is recommended that you leave the Filr 1.0.1 appliance in this state until it moves further on its own. This could take anywhere between 10 minutes to about 2 hours. If your appliance remains stuck for over 2 hours, please contact Novell Technical Support.

The delay (which appears as though the appliance is hung/stuck) is caused due to the execution of a change ownership (chown) command on the files present on the attached data (/vastorage) disk.

Note: Not all Filr 1.0.1 updates will face this delay; this has only been reported in systems that have several thousand (even millions) of Net Folder files with the option to "index contents" turned ON.
