Failure to Retrieve Available Updates after Renewing ZCM Contract

Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2

Situation

The following error is seen when checking for ZENworks updates in ZCC > Configuration > System Updates > Available System Updates > Action > Check for Updates

ERROR:
There was a failure when attempting to contact Novell Customer Center to retrieve available updates. Be sure that you have internet connectivity and that system update has been configured with the correct proxy information: An incorrect http status was received: 403

The correct proxy information is in place in ZCC > Configuration > Infrastructure Management > System Update Settings > Proxy Server Settings
NOTE: This can be empty if there is no proxy required for the ZENworks server to get to secure-www.novell.com

The Entitlement State shows ACTIVE in ZCC > Configuration > Infrastructure Management > System Update Settings > System Update Entitlement

The system update entitlement contract (ALA or Academic License Agreement in one case) was just recently renewed

Resolution

Re-enter the valid system update entitlement code in ZCC > Configuration > Infrastructure Management > System Update Settings > System Update Entitlement > Configure
