Please follow the steps below for GroupWise 2012
1. Copy the necessary agent's home directories to the new server (Domain and/or Post Office directory).
2. See Migration Examples in dbcopy documentation
3. Install GroupWise on the new server - see documentation.
Note: Install the GroupWise agent software for the new server.
Configure the GroupWise agents on the new server with the GroupWise Installer.
Note: This will put down the proper configuration for the agents to know the location of the new home directory
4. From ConsoleOne, connect to the Primary Domain, preferably.
5. Go to the Properties of the Domain and/or PO objects you have moved and provide the updated UNC path to the new home directories of the PO/DOM.
Note: This allows for proper administration of the GroupWise system.
6. Go to the Properties of the Agent(s) | GroupWise | Network Addresses and update the TCP/IP address for the moved agent, if needed. If the ipAddress is the same, then there is no need to change it. Also, verify proper link configuration if there is an IP Address change:Console One | Tools | GroupWise Utilities | Link Configuration
7. (Conditional) If using SSL, update the location for the certificate and key files:
o Display the SSL Settings property page of the MTA or POA object: Properties of Agent | GroupWise tab | SSL Settings.
o Update the paths to both the Certificate file and SSL key file.
Note: Copy these files from the old server to the new server.
o Click OK to save the SSL information for the Agent.
