Situation

How to determine a GroupWise user's File ID (FID)
Unable to locate a user's unique File-ID

Resolution

Follow the steps below to determine a user's FID, select one of the following options:
  • Option A: FID Sort - displays several at once
    • Display a list of user's in ConsoleOne from the GroupWise system.
    • Select FID Sort from the drop-down navbar. (Default is ID Sort)
  • Option B: Properties of User - lookup FID for an individual user
    • Open the Properties of the individual user object
    • Select GroupWise | Account tab. Note the File ID.

The File ID is a unique 3-character sequence assigned to GroupWise user accounts.
