Situation

Time to receive emails on devices is high if the application username is in the format userid.po.domain

Resolution

  1.  Please make sure that Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack 1.2.5.299 is installed on the server. Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack 1.2.5.299 can be downloaded from https://download.novell.com/patch/finder
  2. Type "rcdatasync stop" and press Enter to stop DataSync
  3. Download and extract gwuser.pyc and gwlistener.pyc from ftp://ftp.novell.com/outgoing/828981.tgz
  4. Browse to /opt/novell/datasync/syncengine/connectors/groupwise/lib and rename gwuser.pyc to gwuser.old
  5. Browse to /opt/novell/datasync/syncengine/connectors/groupwise/lib and rename gwlistener.pyc to gwlistener.old
  6. Copy the extracted gwuser.pyc and gwlistener.pyc to /opt/novell/datasync/syncengine/connectors/groupwise/lib
  7. Start DataSync by typing "rcdatasync start" and press Enter
  8. Remove the problem user from the mobility server
  9. Wait for a few minutes and re-add the user with the application username in the format userid.po.domain
  10. Wait for the initial sync to complete
  11. Once the initial sync is complete, make sure that the username set on the device is in the format userid.po.domain
