After entering FDE Pre-Boot Authentication credentials, device is very slow then crashes

Environment

Novell ZENworks Full Disk Encryption
Windows 7
Device with Intel ICH9M-E SATA RAID Controller

Situation

Windows 7 64 or 32 with any 11.2.x agent that has an FDE policy with Pre-Boot Authentication enabled.

After entering correct credentials at PBA screen, Windows loads, but the user experiences extreme computer slowness/hangs for a couple minutes and then a BSOD will occur.

Resolution

Update IDE driver to the Intel Mobile Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller.

Cause

Issue has been isolated to the Intel ICH9M-E SATA RAID Controller.
