Situation

How to set up resources with Mobility

Resolution

To be able to configure resources on the device, the Authentication Type in the Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility pack must be set to GroupWise. If the Authentication Type is set to LDAP, this will not work. Please follow the steps listed below to confirm the Authentication Type  
  1. Login to Mobility Web Admin (https://IPAddressOfMobilityServer:8120)
  2. Click mobility
  3. Check the Authentication Type. It should be set to LDAP or GroupWise. Resource can be set up on Device only if the Authentication Type is set to GroupWise.
 Please follow the steps listed below if the Authentication Type is set to GroupWise to set up resources on Mobility Server
  1. Please make sure to be on the latest build of Mobility. Latest build of Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack can be found at https://download.novell.com/patch/finder
  2. Login as the owner of the resource using GroupWise Client
  3. Proxy to the resource by clicking File | Proxy
  4. Click Tools | Options | Security and set the password for the Resource and click OK and close
  5. Exit out of GroupWise Client
  6. Login to the resource using the password that was set in  Step 4
  7. Login to Mobility Web Admin (https://IPAddressOfMobilityServer:8120)
  8. Click Users
  9. Click Add Users
  10. Search for the Resource Name and select it and click Add
  11. Click Home
  12. Click mobility and click Monitor and wait for the Initial Sync to complete. Intial Sync is complete when the Sync State becomes Synced
  13. Set up the ActiveSync Account on the Device using the Resource's credentials
