Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.3a MU1 Imaging

Situation

After upgrading to ZCM 11.2.3a MU1, when uploading Imagex.exe and ghost32.exe, after replicating to Linux satellites that have the Imaging role, they appear in the /srv/tftp folder on those devices as well as their usual directories below this folder

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2.4 - see KB 7012027 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.4 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7012027

Cause

The unzipping process is being called twice, resulting in the files being placed in the wrong location (as well as the correct location). There is no functionality impact, and if desired, the unwanted files /srv/tftp/Imagex.exe and /srv/tftp/ghost32.exe can safely be deleted if desired, but this is not necessary.

Additional Information

This issue was found too late into the testing cycle for ZCM 11.2.3 MU1 to be fixed without impacting the release date.
