Deleting within Novell Service Desk

When using "delete" within Novell Service Desk, elements are flagged as deleted so they are no longer visible. This means they are never completely removed from your database.


After populating your Novell Service Desk database, it is important to note that records for Clients, Technicians, Items, Item Types and Knowledge Base Categories or Articles are only disabled within the application when the delete option is selected.

The records are not deleted from the database.

**********It is strongly advised that records are not manually deleted from the database as this may invalidate existing relationships in the application and cause the system to crash.***********


This preserves the integrity of your data while maintaining audit trails, should they ever be required.
