Environment
Novell Service Desk 6.5
Situation
Novell Service Desk LDAP groups must conform to the 'objectclass' 'groupofuniquenames' rather than 'groupofnames.' This is because groupofuniquenames contains the 'uniquemember' attribute where as group of names does not.
Resolution
For more information on integrating Novell Service Desk with LDAP, please see LDAP Setup Guide.
Cause
When configuring your LDAP server for integration with Novell Service
Desk, it is necessary to create (up to seven) new groups in a common
location to which the LDAP user specified in the Novell Service Desk
interface has read access.
These groups must conform to the 'objectclass' 'groupofuniquenames' rather than 'groupofnames.' This is because groupofuniquenames contains the 'uniquemember' attribute where as group of names does not.
