Situation
Devices are to be staged are in a separate LAN segment or
VLAN.
The DHCP server does not give out a gateway address for this LAN segment.
Device fails to join any multicast imaging session
Error message:
"...
Network is unreachable.Unable to connect to server
..."

Resolution
Configure the DHCP server to hand out some (if necessary bogus)
gateway address or, if booting up a device into manual/maintenance
imaging mode, temporarily add the gateway address using the route command.
Cause
It is a basic requirement for multicast imaging that a default
route is configured.
Additional Information
When booting up a device in manual/maintenance imaging mode, the
route command shows whether a default destination for the standard
gateway is set.
If missing, it can be manually added with the command:
route add default gw <gateway IP address> eth0
If missing, it can be manually added with the command:
route add default gw <gateway IP address> eth0
