Situation

Using APNs certificate to push security settings to an iOS device
Password requirement settings won't apply
Other security policy settings won't apply

Resolution

Verify that the following addresses are allowed in any firewall protecting the ZMM server:

Address: gateway.push.apple.com Port: 2195
Address: feedback.push.apple.com Port: 2196

Verify that the firewall settings for the device WiFi network are set as outlined in Unable to use Apple Push Notification service (APNs) (Apple Article TS4264)
