Situation

ZCM Database is Oracle

Adding new items to ADF choice list, where no default value is specified.

ERROR: "Error updating field"

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2 - see KB 7010044 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Cause

The default value was being added to the choice list - when that value was blank, it was treated by Oracle as null, which is not acceptable
