Situation
The following were seen in the log file of AFPTCPD messages:
Jan 1 01:01:01 svr1 afptcpd[17572]: [error] AddSubdirToDirCache: Failed to find base path for - NEW PATH
Jan 1 01:01:01 svr1 afptcpd[17572]: [error] Failed to add the subdirectory entry to dir cache
Jan 1 01:01:01 svr1 afptcpd[17572]: [error] AddSubdirToDirCache: Failed to find base path for - NEW PATH

Resolution
These are only informational messages. End users will not experience any functional issues nor see any messages.
Additional Information
AFPTCPD has it's internal caching algorithms to determine what/how to cache (based on client requests). Internal cache also has limits on what/how much can be cached -- ie. cached files per volume, cached subdirectories per volume, etc. Currently, the limits on AFPTCPD cache are static.
