Environment
Novell Open Enterprise Server 11 (OES 11) Linux
Novell iPrint for Linux
Situation
novell-iprint-server-6.4.20120627-5.23 breaks duplicate named printer driver profiles.
Upgrading the novell-iprint-server RPM to the 20120627 version reduces the list of printer driver profiles available through:
-
iManager -> Printer Driver Profiles -> Delete Printer Driver Profile
-
iManager -> Printer Driver Profiles -> Modify Printer Driver Profile
Printer Driver Profiles will show as missing.
Resolution
Novell has a proposed fix for this issue. Email patchfeedback@novell.com with the subject of "Printer Driver Profiles missing after upgrade". An updated novell-iprint-server RPM will be sent in a reply email.
