Situation
The management zone is not only licensed for Asset Management but
also Configuration Management is enabled.
Specific devices should only install Asset Management agent component while the zone wide agent configuration settings allow additional modules to get installed
A device folder has been configured to only install Asset Management agent component
On initial agent install additional components get installed and later removed again
On devices still equipped with ZENworks Desktop Manager workstation agent , the ZDM agent gets removed

Resolution
A fix for this issue is intended to be included in a future update to the product: however, in the interim, Novell has made a Patch available for testing, as part of a Monthly patch update: it can be obtained at https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=t9vbJXG-P0g~ as "ZCM 11.2.1 Monthly Update 1 - see TID 7010464". This update should only be applied if the symptoms above are being experienced, and are causing problems.Please report any problems encountered when using this Patch, by using the feedback link on this TID.
Cause
Current agent setup routing installs Asset Management component
only on initial agent install if ZCM is not licensed at all or the
zone wide settings only allow asset management components.
Additional Information
The ZCM agents can co-exist with the ZDM agent if only the asset
management component gets installed but as soon other agent
components get installed, the ZDM agent gets removed.
