Environment

Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack 1.2.4

Situation

Attachments don't get cleaned up from /var/lib/datasync/syncengine/attachments directory
/var/lib/datasync/syncengine/attachments keeps on growing
Cache Cleanup does not clean up old attachments
/var partition keeps on growing
Old attachments on the Mobility Server

Resolution

    For DataSync 1.2.4, do the following:

    1. Please make sure that in Mobility WebAdmin, there are only two connectors - groupwise and mobility
    1. Delete all other connectors that are not being used including the flatfile connector.
    2. Browse to /etc/datasync/syncengine/connectors.xml and remove sections for any other connector except groupwise and mobility.  For DataSync 1.2.5, the /var/lib/datasync/syncengine/attachments is not being used and can be deleted.
    3. Restart DataSync by typing rcdatasync restart and press Enter.
