PlateSpin Migrate 9.1
Client installed on a remote machine
Situation
When attempting to connect to a PlateSpin Migrate server using a remote client (one not installed on the same machine as the Migrate server), the login fails with the following error:
Could not connect to http://migrateserver/platespinmigrate
Clicking "Details" shows this information:
Invalid user name or password
Resolution
Solution 1:
Log in using the local Administrator account for the PlateSpin Migrate server. This means the built-in local Administrator, not a domain account that is part of the Administrators group.
Solution 2:
Instead of using the domain\username format for the user name portion of the log in, enter just the username.
