Mac install does not install Java if required

Situation

When installing the Mac agent, error if Java is not installed.
 
ERROR:
 
Exiting with error code -1
Exiting with error code 255

Resolution

To confirm if Java is installed see /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6/Home
 
Workaround:  If Java is not installed, on Lion OS automatically call the installer by running java -version
