Situation
"I use one machine, and one machine only, to access a Quickbooks database over Novell Client, and Quickbooks fails to open the database."
Problems accessing files is limited to opening files from within Quickbooks. All else is normal and working as expected.
When using QuickBooks, errors such as the following may be seen:
Can't open company file. Error Code (-6000, -301)
Can't open company file. Error Code (-6000, -106)
QuickBooks was unable to open the company file <name of file> on the host computer <computername>." Error (-6190,-77)
An error occurred when QickBooks tried to access the company file. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact Intuit Technical Support and porovide them with the following error codes: (-6000,-80)."

Try opening the file with QuickBooks on the host computer or run the QuickBooks Database Server Manager on host computer and then try opening the file on your computer. If the problem persists, contact Intuit Technical Support and provide them with the following error codes: (-6190, -1005)

Resolution
Fixed in Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows or later.
