Situation
The ZENworks Microsoft SQL database IP/DNS address has changed.
Steps in the ZENworks documentation followed to point to a new MS SQL database (see Additional Information section below).
This file updated: /etc/opt/novell/zenworks/datamodel/zdm.xml
After these changes ZRS can be logged into, but no reports can be run. When running a report the following error is displayed:
A database error occurred. Cannot open database "database_name" requested by the login. The login failed (WIS 10901)

Resolution
This file will also need updating for a ZRS server to point at the new database address:
/opt/novell/zenworks/share/boe/bobje/odbc.ini
Edit the Address= entry.
For example: Address=server_address, 1344
Once updated restart the ZRS service:
/etc/init.d/BobjEnterprise120 stop
/etc/init.d/BobjEnterprise120 start
/opt/novell/zenworks/share/boe/bobje/odbc.ini
Edit the Address= entry.
For example: Address=server_address, 1344
Once updated restart the ZRS service:
/etc/init.d/BobjEnterprise120 stop
/etc/init.d/BobjEnterprise120 start
