Unable to Install GroupWise Client

ERROR "Microsoft Outlook,  either there is no default messaging client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request, run outlook install". while installing GroupWise Client

To resolve this issue, you must first remove the corrupted Outlook registry key, and then perform a Detect and Repair operation to have Outlook rebuild the key. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.To do this, follow these steps:-

1. Click Start, and then clickRun.
2. In the Open box, typeregedit, and then press ENTER.
3. Take the Backup of the registry. by exporting it.
4. In Registry Editor, locate the following subkey in the registry:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\Mail\Microsoft Outlook
5. Select the subkey, and then press DELETE.
6. Click Yes.
7. Quit Registry Editor.
8. Start Outlook.
9. For Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2002, click the Help menu, and then click Detect and Repair .
   For Outlook 2007, click the Help menu, and then click Office Diagnostics .
   For Office 2010, Click Start, click Control Panel, click Programs and Features, select Microsoft Office 2010 and then click the Change button. Next, click Repair, and then click Continue.
10. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the repair.

Steps for installing GroupWise Client :-

1. Un-Install GroupWise client if its installed previously.
2. Run setup for windows messaging system (WMS.EXE) which is available with GroupWise Client installation package which is located at client\win32\wms\nt\us\.
3. Run GroupWise Client setup.
   

This issue may occur if the Outlook registry key is corrupted. When other programs try to use the Outlook Simple MAPI interface, they cannot retrieve the required information from the registry.
