Situation
New user has been created, but the first validate will never finish or report failed.
In default.pipeline1.mobility-AppInterface.log in verbose logging you will find the following error:

Resolution
Run a GWCheck Content against this user and check for duplicate folders. If there are duplicate folders, run a GWCheck Content with the option "DelDupFolders" until there are no more duplicate folders reported. After this has been done, re-synchronize the user.
