Novell GroupWise 8
Situation
Login to GroupWise Webaccess or GroupWise client, using LDAP and SSL authentication fails with LDAP Error 81, D06b, or 0051. LDAP and SSL authentication is enabled on the post office agent and on the post office server.
On the POA screen there was the following error:
LDAP Error: 81 LDAP Error: Can't contact LDAP server

Resolution
In ConsoleOne, enter the complete path for the LDAP server SSL Key file.
Tools, GroupWise System Operations, LDAP servers, edit the LDAP server for the post office, next to LDAP SSL key file, enter the complete path to the SSL key file.
Restart the post office agent.

Additional Information
When SSL is enabled on LDAP servers, the location of the
certificate which was exported for that ldap server must be specified. GroupWise prefers 8.3 naming
conventions for Certificate filenames, server names and volume names.
Example on Netware: Place the .der file in the post office directory and have the path
be volume:\<path to post office>\nwkey.der
