Situation

Users seeing wrong messages on their device.
Wrong Message Body seen on device.
Header and message body not matching on the device.
Subject with wrong message body seen on the device.

Resolution

  2. Download and extract GenericApplicationInterface.pyc from the following link
    ftp://ftp.novell.com/outgoing/gen.tgz
  3. Stop DataSync by typing "rcdatasync stop "
  4. Browse to /opt/novell/datasync/syncengine/lib/syncengine
  5. Rename GenericApplicationInterface.pyc to GenericApplicationInterface.old
  6. Copy the extracted file to the above location
  7. Make sure no python processes are running in the background by typing "ps aux | grep python ". If there are any datasync python processes running, please type "kill -i pidNumber "
  8. Start DataSync by typing "rcdatasync start "
